A smart-home bridge: lights, locks and thermostats

Local control through Home Assistant would be perfect.

Hype alert. Show me a smart-home bridge working in a loud café and I'll believe it.

Has anyone benchmarked a smart-home bridge? I'd like numbers, not vibes.

Update: solved it. Thanks all 🙌

Great idea. Even a simple first version would be useful.

Love the idea, worried about the privacy angle though.

I disagree. A smart-home bridge sounds great on paper but breaks down in real homes and offices.

Wow, did not expect so many replies. Reading everything now.

Same!

Appreciate the honest feedback, even the harsh bits 😄

Agreed 100%

@Leo_Mod Could be done with a routine today, but a built-in option would be nicer.

Seconded. Added it to my wishlist too.

I tried a smart-home bridge and went back to the keyboard. Typing is still faster for me.

Love the idea, worried about the privacy angle though. 🙌

Does anyone know if a smart-home bridge is safe for confidential work?

@zeynepA Late to the thread, but a smart-home bridge changed how I work. No exaggeration. 🤝

🙌🙌

Not a fan of a smart-home bridge, but I'm glad people are exploring it.
